The book is very interesting because i think the time period is still relevant to my life even if I was not born yet. I still know people who were born during that time and listening to their stories was amazing. Then to read about another perspective through a Japanese American is great to reflect on.
Now with the assignment for the lesson plan it seems like it mightbe a lot of work. I think it would be a good thing to see how we can design a lesson that comprises of all disiplines. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

I agree, the book is very relevant to us. Especially because it happened so close to home.

ReplyDeleteOk, Dude... I'll comment. The story is very interesting or else I would not have continued to read the book on my own time. I too can hardly wait to see how the lesson plans turn out. There ya go, Ervin
ReplyDeleteThe times have so changed. Participating the way we did in our literature circle was fun but unheard of when I went to school...Who are the people who think these up?
ReplyDeleteErwin...why are YOU commenting on your own blog anyway. We are not leaving the room yet:)
ReplyDeleteThis will be a very interesting read. I am looking forward to finishing the book.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, and I think the Literature Circle is one great strategy that will encourage even those students who are shy to share their thoughts.
