Reflection for 6/2/10

Today was our first day of class for ED641, and we discussed what we are going to do throughout the course and the assignments that we are going to participate in. Although we have not done any of the assignments yet, the syllabus and calendar of events includes many activities that I am looking forward to doing. Not only will I learn and reflect about my literacy autobiography, but also learn about many techniques, practices, strategies, etc. to help motivate my future students to be life-long readers. We are going to be very busy students this summer; but I hope we will learn a lot, engage in many group sessions, and improve our professional development.

  1. I too would like to improve and learn about my literacy skills and techniques. It is a good skill I think everyone should have--especially as a teacher.

  3. It would be interesting to find out what we would uncover while doing our literacy autobiography and learning new techniques we could use in the classroom.
