After reading the first two chapters of Under the Blood Red Sun, so many thoughts raced through my head: how much these activities are actually beneficial to the learner, how many ways we could explain a single thought to various types of learners in the classroom and of course, how we could integrate these activities in my own classroom.
I've tried different graphic organizers in the classroom, but I have never tried the graffiti board. I think it is a great way of letting the students showcase their creativity and to show how they could effectively demonstrate working together even if they have different background and knowledge of the subject. These are some techniques I will definitely use in the classroom and hopefully my students will be able to get the message as much as I have.
I think this is good activity as well but through my own experience i tried a activity i learned in school with my class and it did not work. But finding the right lesson to match the activity it would be great.
ReplyDeleteI found the graffiti wall very amusing too! Will definitely put it to good use in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteWasn't today's lesson cool! I do see you using the graffiti board and reader's theater in your class.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the Graffiti Board will help students better understand the material because they hear opinions of other students as well. Excellent activity.
