Today's lessons involved strategies for engaging students in reading, like the Literature Circle,Graffiti Board,and Reader's Theater.My favorite was the Graffiti Board in that its use would encourage total student participation, even those that are shy.Also sharing thoughts and feelings of ch. 1 and 2 throughout our two groups was very informative.And although we all read the same chapters, we each had our own view of how and what in these chapters we related to our lives.
One of the very common concepts brought up was Identity Crisis.The three generations in this story were well represented and their concerns were all very well founded.
