War! What is it good for? Absolutely NOTHING!
Today, we read the first 2 chapters of "Under the Blood-Red Sun". It was interesting getting into the mind of an 8th grader who was experiencing the brewing of a war, and he didn't even know it. So young and naive, Tomiko is questioning his identity. He's an American but yet he's Japanese. Should he be ashamed of his culture? Already I find this book to be interesting and I can't wait to see what unfolds...
I think that this will be a very interesting book to read also. I can't wait to go home and finish it.
ReplyDeleteI agree...it will be an interesting book to read! I hope that we will be able to read it all in time so we can do our project :)
ReplyDeleteRoz I'd like not to put the book down but I'm afraid I'll be body slammed by my little ones as soon as enter home:)
ReplyDeleteI like your opening sentence. I also like the first two chap. of the book. I am interested to see how things go and how things end up.
ReplyDeletewar, i think it is great for the economy when times are rough go to war manufaturing of weapons and other goods is usually on the rise. The one thing war is not good for is the stock market for oil it just gets way to expensive. just kidding. I just think war is neccessary because it is human nature to look at the difference of a person rather than what we all share. till then TORA TORA.
