Stretching my knowledge

We can add another wonderful strategy to our teacher 'toolkit', sketch to stretch. Despite my fear of drawing and embarrassment of my utter lack of artistic talent, I actually enjoyed the activity. I think students will enjoy the activity, particularly since they own their sketch/interpretation of the reading selection. It was enlightening to examine the sketches of my classmates and listen to their interpretation of the passage. I also appreciate the Where Text Meets Tech power point presentation. The resources included in the presentation appear to be full of valuable information and strategies to promote life long literacy in the classroom.
