I am amazed at the diversity and creativity of the lesson plans created as a reflection of this book. I enjoyed that this activity challenged me to 'think outside the box' to create health lesson plans that not only reflect the themes of the story, but the GDOE standards and performance indicators as well. Whew. The more I think about it, the more I realize that this can be done with pretty much every story. I also think that it is important for students to realize for students to make those connections.

ReplyDeleteYes, this was a very interesting assignment, especially since I was not as prepared for working on a Social Studies lesson plan for the book. Anyway, I really liked the research and the activities I came across. Thank you for all the hard work.
