My thoughts on class with micronesians, listening skill, and the forum

I knew that I did not know a lot about people from our neighboring islands of Guam. I felt I related with my students who were from the other nieghboring islands. I think focusing on what we have in common and showing respect is the key in getting along with anyone.

Listening skills I remember taking a class that had one part or lesson on listening to a person and writing down what they say and to paraphase what they say. I find it easy because my partner Roz conversed through a story which is easier to remember.

I like the blog better than the forum for some reason. I think the blog is easier to use.

  1. Your picture is very symbolic of what teachers go through.. Teaching can definitely be a circus act. You're jumping through hoops and going over a tight wire all the while teaching something the students need to learn.

  2. The listening exercise was fun. I got to hear what was on Clint's mind.

  3. I believe we will all be computer techies by the time we finish these two classes. I appreciate this class and I can apply everything we've learned so far in my future job as a teacher.
