My days of research are finally dwindling down to an end as we complete our interdisciplinary unit assignment. It has been a challenge with trying to incorporate lessons in science, a subject that was not a favorite of mine in high school. The searching, both mentally and physically, was a laborious task but it was fun. I learned what a genome was (a word unheard of until recent days) and that there are many forms of environmental pollution (I feel so bad in my and our contributions to hurt mother earth). It is wonderful to use Google Docs and see everyone’s ideas poured into one place at the same time. I’m waiting until everyone is done and anxious to “submit”. In the meantime I am playing around with Livetext. It looks bland but deceptively complicated. You’ll all find out at my next post how things went.
Google docs is such an effective tool. I am so glad that we were introduced to this valuable tool especially for a hybrid class like ours.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. It was not exactly easy to incorporate the book, but it did bring out the 'creative' side of us to integrate the book with activities.
ReplyDeleteYour lesson plan is fascinating. The beauty of our lesson plan is that it covers so many topics/issues that will challenge the students and mold them for the future ahead.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think that students would love to do this unit as a whole sometime. We were all so creative. Well, hang in there and then hit submit and it will all be over. Good luck with LiveText.
ReplyDeleteHey, FOCUS in your job well done. We did a great unit with many diverse activity in our lesson. Now, we have the live text to take out. Keep your focus til Friday.
ReplyDeleteActually your days of research is just starting because these classes don't end. So stay focus.
