Today is our last face-to-face meeting, but not yet the end of class. I enjoyed the company of all you intelligent over-achievers, and although our class was quick, learned a great deal from you through all the sharing we did. This has been short but very informative journey.
I cannot believe that all the activities we did in this class revolved around one central topic, Under the Blood-Red Sun. I hope to be able to apply all, if not most, of the activities we did in class to mine, math. If not, then I hope to become a teacher that will keep my students as engaged to learning as we were in this class.
Well it was great to see you in the week day class. I find what I have learned from this class with what i learned from Dr.Cyrus makes this term great and very interesting. This gives me more strategies to use in class.
ReplyDeleteThe strategies will definately be useful to us in the future.
ReplyDeleteThis class was awesome for strategy introductions. We did so many, and since they were all hands-on instruction I know how to apply them in my classroom. Awesome class, Dr. Rivera! Nice to meet you, Roz. Stay POSITIVE!
ReplyDeleteTeaching will be a 1,2,3 step for us after this class. Also, it is amazing that we did majority all our activities through our book.
ReplyDeleteJust remember Roz, pre, during, and post reading strategies and you will be a very engaging teacher. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to know that with one main idea we can actually create an interdisciplinary unit. I hope I could take this to the classroom.
ReplyDeleteI say that we can use this book as an interdisciplinary unit...go team!
ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing that this one book had become the center of our "universe" and in which we actually participated in many activities. It was also nice being in this class and getting to know you, Roz, if only for a short while. You are all your awards say you are.
