Today was our first class of ED 641. The instructor seems very nice and helpful. We went over the syllabus and individually introduced ourselves to the instructor. The class has a lot assignments but I guess that's the only way Dr. Rivera can tell if we deserve to pass the course. I like the handout of events that she gave to us. It helps me understand what to expect on the day we are to meet for class. It's also helpful to because all the assignments due are in italicized so we know without a doubt whats do and when its do. The class started off good and hopefully it will remain that way for the rest of the way :)
If only the other classes gave us a calendar of events that are as succinct as Dr. Rivera's.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about knowing what is due and when it is due. i hate the last week hidden work.
ReplyDeleteI really like the calendar of events also. I just hope that we stick to the calendar of events to a tee, unlike some of our other classes that don't get to the assignments on time and then give them all to us at the end. Lots of work to do though.

ReplyDeleteI agree. The clear statement of expectations and assignments are definitely appreciated.
ReplyDeleteBasketball playoff finals has begun. Also, the summer playoffs for MAT championship has started for June. In regards to your comment of having a clear syllabus is a good thing for us working folks.
ReplyDeleteLet the workload begin one step at a time.
I agree, I absolutely love, love, love the Calendar of Events, I find it to be very helpful.
ReplyDeleteFrankie - remember the hazy start we had during the first months of this program:) This is quite a change. We are nearing the light at the end of the tunnel. I am gaining more confidence as we continue on this journey.
