Today our main concern was completing our interdisciplinary unit and I would have to say I am so glad that we had to do a draft for this assignment because it helped so much not race after the clock. I am so happy how our project came together and it's evident that everyone excerted time and effort into each unit plan. This cohort feels like family already and we work well with each other. It is amazing how one book could be a vessel to create lessons throughout the different content areas.
We only have our reflection paper and our livetext assignment and this class is done. It was a really different experience since this is a hybrid class but it leaves me with some extra time to relax a little until the next couple classes for summer.
I agree, it was good that we worked on the draft first-it really gave us a PUSH! We're almost done!
ReplyDeleteI like your use of the word vessel. It means a lot in this reflection because we are all vessels for one another. All my cohorts in this program have given me the extra "umph" when I needed it. Funny thing is that we are not in competition racing each other, we are supporting each other as we run.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Creating the unit plan on the book is evidence that we can do this with pretty much anything. I think it is important to link everything we teach to other content areas so students recognize the relevance.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Waiting until the last second would have been difficult and everyone is depending on each other. Glad we had to do a draft also.
ReplyDeleteHey partner, we are all together in this UNIT. I too am waiting to fulfill this UNIT to completion. So good job in the work and try to go out this week and experience summer.
ReplyDeleteDrafts are great. It really lessens the load when a majority of it was done a week ago. Almost there!
ReplyDeleteMe too. Completing the main parts in the draft last week made it easier to add final details and images. I loved the researching, but like all things...time is limited.
ReplyDeleteLive text is next! Live text is not going to be fun, but we must learn how to use it for formality's sake. Although Dr. Sanchez came in to help us get more familiar to it, I will be spending the rest of my extra time learning about live text.
