Yes,I truly enjoyed our class activities this evening.My favorite was the Micronesian Hunt because it required us to get up and move about, it also gave us insight about each other.Besides reviewing the concept of schema the activities we participated in were very relevant in how to engage students, especially those that may be new to the island or to the school.Its true, as teachers we need to find ways to reach all students even with a simple greeting in their own tongue.Students need to feel connected in order for them to feel comfortable, and these activities are just another set of tools to add to our toolbox.

Activities to strenhthen our Schemas

Schema development is communication development. Communication is necessary to teach.
