6/14/10

At least for me, today's class was fun and engaging as usual. The Literature circles that we had today was very fun and interesting. I like getting into my lit. circle because we have fun and at the same time complete our tasks. The transactional theory portion of today's class had me thinking about how to use the information from that article to strengthen my teaching. There was a lot of useful information in that article. The lights, camera, action activity was fun to do as a class. When we read it together, it kind of sounded like a commercial to me? Finally, I now know how to greet in about 10 new languages, which I know in the near future will be beneficial to me in the classroom :)

  3. I LOVE our Lit. Circles! I actually enjoy Dr. Rivera's class in it's entirety. But, yeah, we have fun when we get in our groups! The individuals always have something to present that I actually take back with me. Reading Rules!!

  4. I definitely need to learn my greetings. I guess this activity will be put to the test when I greet my students :)

I really liked the Four Voices activity. It was so interesting to know each characters thoughts and emotions in less than a minute. Makes the book more interesting.

  5. Cool picture and I to like the group excercises. The greeting's activity is something I forgot about and really need to brush up on for my profession now and as a future teacher.
Just like everyoneelse, I too enjoy this class.

  6. Today was extra fun because of the increased interaction with the book and our classmates. I agree, the poems for two voices did sound like a commercial-Like something for medicine or a medical condition.

  7. I have more things to add to my ever growing portfolio that we first started in Mrs. Abaday's class. I appreciate the "Hello" handout. I think we should be careful about assuming who is what nationality - someone may get offended.
