Finally, we have the chance to relax and enjoy the weekend because we have finished everything for this class. It wasn't easy and there were times when I just wanted to put my hands up in the air and quit but thought otherwise. I did enjoy doing all the activities in this class and I'm looking forward to using the strategies that we've learned.
I'd like to take this chance to say a big "Thank You" to Dr. Rivera. There were a lot of firsts for me in this class: first blog, first hybrid class experience, first class to 'require' livetext :) I have never written so many papers in such a short amount of time, and for that I thank you for giving us the confidence to explore new things and the way you supported us with any of our questions. This experience has been awesome.
To my MAT family, we have been through so much together and I am so blessed to be a part of this crew. I know that this is not the end for all of us, as a matter of fact, we'll see each other next week so there's no need to be sentimental. I am just glad that WE MADE IT!!!
Sheena thank you for your support and contribution to the Interdisciplinary Unit Plan. We all did an excelent job and I hope we get an excellent grade. Enjoy the break and see you next week.
ReplyDeleteSheena, I hope that you get a chance to relax over the next few days that we have off. Thanks for all the help that you've given me over the summer. Take care and see you in a few days.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way...But, in the end the benefits far outweigh all the struggle. We will be confident, effective teachers now that we have more tools in our toolkit.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you Sheena. I first blogged in this class and then learned some other awesome strategies and techniques through our research for reading. If it weren't for you my groupmates and classmates, and the undying encouragement from Dr. Rivera, my accomplishment would be nil. But, with a great MAT cohort and inspiring instructor, I can only succeed...have a wonderful weekend and break.
ReplyDeleteSheena,
ReplyDeleteYou're most welcome! I'm happy that you've learned a great deal in the various first experiences you've encountered. I encourage you to apply the literacy strategies that you've learned to empower your students, and so much more. You can do it!
Best regards,
Dr. Rivera
