my whole post-secondary school existence, have ever taken a summer course. However, I do have to say that it was a definitely worthwhile and self-assuring experience as a teacher. Every class that we have taken since the beginning of the MAT program has given me the tools I need to become an effective teacher, and has given me more reason to pursue my Master's degree. Seeing a new set of faces with the same ambition and struggles that I am also experiencing has really helped me to push forward with the program, as difficult and sacrificing as it may be. If I were to do this on my own, with only my own personal reasons, I would probably have many doubts about continuing.Thank you all for being kind and helpful to the 'Saturday' newbie =) You all are brilliant people that will definitely be an asset to the young people of Guam, or wherever else you decide to teach. Dr. Rivera: you are a wonderful mentor. Thank you for introducing us to the many strategies and tools out there that will help us to be better teachers. Good luck to you all!!
Roz, it was great finally meeting you for the first time. You are a great classmate and I hope to see you with us in the upcoming classes. Take care until then.

ReplyDeleteI'm a newbie to summer school, too. I had no idea it would be this difficult! I agree with you; I am so thankful for the new strategies that empower us to become great teachers.
ReplyDeleteRoz, it was nice getting to know you in the short time we were in class. But, we will run into each other later in the MAT courses again. So, take care and enjoy the break.
ReplyDeleteIt was really nice meeting you Roz. By the looks of it, we'll share another class (Special Ed) so I guess this is not the end. See you Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteHi Roz! It was great to have you in our class-we worked really well together especially for our Interdisciplinary Unit. I hope to see you again soon!
ReplyDeleteHey there fellow MAT crew! It was nice to meet another new classmate entering into M&W class session. Also, your pic strikes a key off "the eye of a tiger" and we made it to the top of this mountain. Oh Yeah, there is a new mountain entering soon next week.
ReplyDeleteRoz,
ReplyDeleteYou're most welcome! I'm happy that you've learned a great deal from this course. I encourage you to apply the literacy strategies that you've learned to empower your students, and so much more. You can do it!
Best regards,
Dr. Rivera
